Short update on MHTri

Clocked 21hrs in total after a week or so in MHTri. Summing up some opinions here.

Greatsword
Movesets basically hasn't changed. Added a new sword slap attack, which adds KO value, if hits the head. The attack is probably quickest (not considering kick). Reach is OK. Especially if used after kick. Damage is not impressive (co-ef of 18%). KO value is comparable to most hammer attacks (less superpound/golf swing).

Personally, I don't think it is that useful, espcially if you need to stay an extra .5 seconds in front of a monster slapping it. Level 3 charging a turning monster is still going to be the staple for GSword I believe.

Switch Axe
So I had an opportunity to test out some switch axe goodness. Axe mode offers fast(er) movements, great but rather slow movesets with excellent reach. Awesome for clearing out trash. Overhead swing, whilst slow, offers and impressive 54% coeffiicient. Slash combo is basically useless. 10% co-ef each hit, drains 20 stam each swing, leaving you wide open for attacks. Don't use it. Even if you have mega juice.

Sword offers a relative fast (think long sword w/o spirit gauge) movement set, all with around 30% damage coefficient. Sword mode also grants ESP (at yellow sharpness or higher), and phial activation (damage boosting, in other words). Has soem excellent burst damage potential.

However, it seems sharpness of SA does suffer. I found myself zoning and sharpnening very frequently. Thank god whetstone ain't expensive.

Hammer
Some minor changes. Nothing biggie. Still golfswing goodness.

Bowgun
Changed big time. Instead of crafting a bowgun, you make frames, stock and barrel separately and assemble them, forming a BG. depending on the weight, it maybe a HBG, MBG or LBG. Depending on which frame/barrel/stock you choose to use, you will get differing RF, bullet avaliability etc. A very new and unique system.
